Paracho Guitar Festival

From all reports, this weekend are when the large events and competitions are held. I am following a couple of conversations on a Michoacan message board and apparently some folk from both Morelia and Patzcuaro are planning to attend. If they follow form, there should be comments, reports and maybe even photos. I will keep my eyes peeled for any info.

It is probably a good thing that there was no organized effort to attend the Guitar Festival. From a Patzcuaro resident who generally is tuned into area happenings:
He has found three announced dates for the festival - August 2 - 9, August 4 - 12 and August 20 - 28. For whatever reason finding out dates for festivals in Michoacan can often be frustrating and one often finds out when the event is over with.
