What is a dorando(sp) fruit?

The gardener keeps talking about this dorando fruit tree in the garden which I can't seem to translate. Neither of us can speak more than few words of each other's language and google translate has failed on this one!

So, what is this mysterious fruit which Walmart apparently sells? The tree leaves look similar to a mango but longer and thinner. There's a few pink flowers at the growing tips but the tree is young and is currently bearing no fruit.

It could be "Durazno" but he pronounced it dorando or durando...

Durazno means peach.

YES! Peach! The gardener has confirmed that this little ailing tree that is growing among the lime trees is indeed a peach - mystery solved! Although he still insists it's a "duran-do"

Might try transplanting so it has more space. Should net be in a constant damp soil. Lost 3 "semi-arid" fruit trees in Joco for bad drainage.
