Just Chillin coming back

Looks like on TOB Just Chillin restaurant is coming back and opening Aug. 12.

First post from them was Monday and they were asking for help finding a new location. Today they announced they have a place and will open a week from tomorrow without saying where it would be. Maybe building suspense?

They gave an address in the Villa Nova area on TOB.

Wonder why they didn't go back to the same place. Maybe not secure enough??
The front door of their former place has been open the last couple of times I passed by there. Hopin !!

I just looked at TOB, and they never mentioned any address yet...

Thanks, Sue. I looked at every post and just firgured I had missed it.

In the box with their information on TOB it lists the location as Villa Nova. It sounds like their old place is now their new place.

So, basically they took a few months off and are back to reopen their restaurant.

Supposedly they were moving to Cozumel permanently and opening there. It made no sense as that is such a transient place and here they had a fairly stable following and a going business.

They did open a restaurant in Cozumel. Now they are reopening a second location here.

Sounds like they are starting a chain of Just Chillin restaurants. 

They are very ambitious and will do well in both locations I'm sure. Maybe one of the sisters is staying in Cozumel to manage that branch?

I understood they are from Cozumel, not "transients."  Lot's of pics on Facebook too.  Noe and the Classics have been there for over a week providing entertainment for their Grand Opening.

I think they are from Queretaro.

We already have the location for the Chillin' Baby it is going to be on the corner of Donato Guerra and 16 de Septiembre just where the Ole Ola used to be. we are going to open Friday the 12th!!! And you all are invited... just bring hugs!!! ❤  

And the plans for the Big Just Chillin' with the dance floor and party we are planning for the opening on November


I think the old 'Ole'Ola' location is going to be packed solid next Friday!

That place is so small that it won't take too many people to pack it solid, so it should be "friendly"! Have a good one!

I have a dumb question. What kind of food do they serve? I never went because when I asked while they were open the last time, the answers didn't sound especially interesting.

no it was not that exciting..I guess people went there for the atmosphere..

Good food, exceptional margaritas, and warm, friendlly service.

Yeah, me too! I don't understand what the hoopla is about either. Seems like it's a place for grandparents that miss their grandkids. . .guess I'll have to go to see.

Trailrunner, I too have never been able to figure out the almost cult-like following. 
I went there once for lunch. Unexceptional food, normal restaurant-like service in a typical environment. I did have a margarita which was very good but that was it. It really was just another pleasant place to have lunch. There was nothing extraordinary that made me want to go back, and so I never did.

Agree that the atmosphere and friendliness makes the place... Food is OK but not spectacular... A good place for the geriatric set to bump and grind.... I certainly wish them the best in their endeavor...
