Cornhole/Beanbag Toss

This has hit Puerto Vallarta. Different groups, restaurants and bars are organizing fundraisers and tournaments. I imagine someone is loaning or renting the (minimal) equipment. The ladies from Tepehua could sew the corn stuffed cloth bags, the have hammers kids could easily construct the target and score board. A lot safer than the dunk tank or horseshoe ideas!

Think of the thrill of walking around your Canadian prairie town, wearing a coveted "Cornhole Champion of Puerto Vallarta 2013" Tee shirt.

Admittedly, I was unfamiliar with this game until two weeks ago traveling through Colorado. Two different watering holes in resort towns had these set up out in front of their establishments adjacent to their outdoor seating. Each had a handy table next to the competition area to accommodate the contestant's cocktails or beers.

Did I ever state that I participated? Here is a poor photo that if you look closely in the lower right corner, you will see one of the two locations I spotted:

This was in the town of Crested Butte, CO at 8909' and a really enjoyable former mining town. A far larger surprise was that there was a Rum Distillery (http://www.montanyarum.com/) and tasting room right in the heart of downtown. While a bit on the expensive side, some of the finest rum I have ever tasted!

They usually play it on cruise ships.

I suspect that at least some of the PV organizers knew just what they were saying. Pretty funny.
