Ajijic non functioning traffic lights
Is there a certain person to contact about all of the non functioning traffic lights in Ajijic. This is really a safety hazard for residents, visitors and school children. The one at the donut shop has been out for months and most of the rest of them are not working 100 %.

Re: Ajijic non functioning traffic lights
I agreee, how expensive can a light bulb be compared to the hazards of an accident or someone bein run over?
It seems that it has become a custom for the traffic lights to remain out of order, which can lead to accidents or extortion from the traffic police officers.
Why not contact? :
-Transito Office
- Delegado Ajijic
I have sent tweets to Secretaria de Movilidad Jalisco but to no avail.

I guess I'm really old (which I am)....when there were none.Pedro wrote:exactly!!Jerry00 wrote:Oh for the old days when we had two trafic lights, one in Chapala and one in Ajijic.
No topes either...even better...for speeding drivers.
But there were more baches, livestock on the road, and the one lane only traffic by the Monte Carlo Hotel, to slow things down.

Re: Ajijic non functioning traffic lights
When the boss of Transito came to LCS to give a talk a few months back, Hector Espana showed up and asked about the lights. The Transito fellow said it was the responsibility of Chapala Municipality. Hector argued that they don't provide any money for lights. There was some back and forth before they both agreed to share responsibility and they shook hands. And this prompted some in the audience to believe the problem had been solved.
