Funny Story of the Day (For Me)

I thought I would share my funny story for the day. My wife and I were driving into Chapala this morning along the Mezcala-Chapala Carretera. At the topes at Santa Cruz there was a Chapala police vehicle parked and two fine gentlemen were out (I assumed) checking for seat belts being used and motorcycles with no plates. All was fine and we passed waving nicely to the gentlemen in uniform who waved back.

A little further on our journey, the Policia pickup came screaming up behind us with lights on. So we gently pulled over to the shoulder and another nice officer comes to the window exchanging pleasantries. My wife and I are sort of wondering... what's up?

He indicated that our vehicle is putting out a bit of smoke.. I then replied that "Yes, it is a diesel and they do that a bit".

...... (Funny expression on the officer's face).

He then waved us on!
