nobody has 'splained why spin casting equipment ain't used fer them bass. or is it?

Yes, you can use spin casters no problem. In fact they rent some spin casters there.

Things about bait caster is you can do it all with one hand, you can cast and back feed easier, casting in the wind is easier and distance/direction control is better.  Again, this is personal choice.

my 2 1/8 oz. composite rod i can cast underhand and if i use a larger lure with my 6lb. test i can cast it waaaaaay out there overhand or under. i even tried surf fishing in melaque but the guy beside me with the tin can and line was catching the fish. who says expensive is better?-jaja!

Pedro, I can't wait to watch you hold the rod, flip the spinning reel bale and cast with one hand, then back feed and all with one hand in your pocket......Very Happy
