Telecable (changing DNS servers) Empty Telecable (changing DNS servers)

The last couple of days my service from Telecable Internet has been horrible.  If any of you are having problems, access your modem/router and change the DNS server addresses to Google's DNS server.

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

It takes care of the problem.

Interesting. There are a number of other "public DNS servers" out there. If you install NAMEBENCH (another Google project), it will test a huge number of servers and allow you to choose a pair that is best for you. My last test showed me that the one I had selected was 39% faster than Google's, and 36% faster than Telmex's.
