Traveling with Permanente - time limits?
If I EVER get my Permanente (whine, see previous posts), I have some pent-up traveling to do.
Is there a limit I can be out of the country, or is Permanente truly permanent?

Spencer told me no time limits, I am taking that as "definitive word"

Then why didn't you say Spencer (Intercasa), instead of someone.

Re: Traveling with Permanente - time limits?
Slainte, I can guess the answer *just* as well as the next person. And by "the next person" I mean Zenwoodle. If any Mexican attorney had responded, I would consider that source to be more credible than me or Zenwoodle any other non-lawyer for that matter. It did not have to be Intercasa. But I know he hangs out here and is the most likely Mexican attorney to respond.
Are you happy?

I'm always happy...on your post, I was just curious. Now I know who you meant by someone.

Are you an attorney?....either credible or incredible? Someone won't do.

Re: Traveling with Permanente - time limits?
Amazing and awesome, Zenwoodle, but not incredible! You and I are secondary sources - Spencer is a primary source. I'm too over-educated to risk my immigration status on secondary sources, no offense is intended.

For future reference:
"Someone" is a nebulous term when what you meant is "lawyer." You waste the time of the "someones" you do not consider creditable who take their time to answer your question in good faith.

Lady, this is the Legal section. It's not meant for wild guesses or stabs at the answer. I could do that myself without bothering to post the original question.

Re: Traveling with Permanente - time limits?
I never noticed that answers in the "Legal" section were limited to lawyers only and doubt very many (if any) others have assumed that to be the case. If that were true, CBob could change the name of the section from "Legal" to "Spencer."

Re: Traveling with Permanente - time limits?
Lady, you seem to be going way out of your way to find something to snip about. There's nothing wrong with a person wanting to get an answer from a lawyer who is known to frequent the Legal forum. I'm not going to put up my dukes about it. Go pick on someone else, I'm moving on to something more productive.

Re: Traveling with Permanente - time limits?
I´m sorry (really). I have a thing about language. There is nothing wrong with a person wanting to get an answer from a lawyer--and she should say lawyer. (see, I can´t stop!) Blame the compulsion on Catholic school. It scarred me for life.

Then you should be able to handle a phone call to Spencer or another attorney, as most have telephones and work for remuneration.

Re: Traveling with Permanente - time limits?
I would have thought that the type of question that you are asking is one which should have asked before applying for permanente.
That is how I found out from Spencer.
