Any updates? Thanks.
Bob, if possible when you have time, would you consider moving to legal.
Thank you,
Espiritu

Re: can anyone add more info to this?
espiritu, I have a Mexican will and am in the process of changing it because the Notario made several errors that would create issues for my heirs, and also because I had money designated for a certain "Charity" @ Lakeside, that sent me the following note.....
" about your concern for the seemingly long time it is taking to resolve this issue, but also reinforced my understanding that in Mexico, and in the US and Canada as well, probate and other procedures associated with estates can often drag on for months and even years."
Since this is a will, I reconsidered my future donation, as I was shocked to find out that a donation to a charity in Mexico, could be tied up for months or years, by said charity while they completed their Pizzen contest. Further that my heirs could do nothing to access funds to pay monthly bills of the estate, etc.

I been following your thread in legal. I will have to do same...
I want to change the will and have a Mexican inherit my home. My family does not want it.

Re: can anyone add more info to this?
Everybody's different. Going through probate in Mexico would give most anyone a heart attack.
1) Our car's in both our names and there is a letter of permission for designated drivers signed by both of us.
2) Our house was in both our names...and our son was written in as a beneficiary on it too.
3) Actinver account also has both our names and the same son as beneficiary.
Everything else is in Canada and will be dealt with by the Canadian Will/and or P.O.A. at the Lawyer's office. All the kids have the name of that Lawyer but the same son (as above) is the Executer and P.O.A.. All the kids know where all the other important papers are.
Spencer and Denise witnessed a flurry of paperwork for us when we arrived in Ajijic.
