Preferably fancy but standard would be fine too.

Oh that's it hocks, get thrown in jail for stealing chickens in SJC, nice, thanks for the suggestion. The pullets (we are going to buy) will quickly grow into laying hens and we love fresh 'range' eggs. Personally, I enjoy watching chickens hunt and peck for food eating every manner of worm and insect. Candace just prefers they don't crap on the patio.hockables wrote: go to San Juan Cosala... they're running around everywhere there...

Jajajajaja...........good luck with that. My "free range chicken days" ended once Sharon saw what they did to her garden and patio. Their OK with large plants but hell on the small ones.
BTW.....put me down as your first customer once they start laying, if you have extras.

They sell lots of young-ish chickens at the tianguis in Joco on Thursday. The chicken sellers are at the far end of the vendors going west.

I don't know the percentage of roosters but they won't last long after their first cock-a-doodle.
And thanks to everyone for the suggestions it is appreciated. Turns out our gardener's cousin's son's wife raises chickens (and they deliver) so we are now hooked up.

Arbon, if the chick sexers have done their jobs correctly then 0 percent would be roosters. By definition, pullets are hens.

In case the gardener's cousin's son's wife doesn't come through for you, try the pet store on Zaragoza in Chapala. They sell all kinds of birds, including chickens and ducks.

Yes Smartalex please do share, I'd really prefer some fancys. And yes joyful Buddy the cat better mind his P's and Q's because what he doesn't know is that one egg laying hen is worth 10 times his lazy 'I don't hunt mice' azz.

On the west side of Zaragoza, near the church. I think the cross street is either Flavio Romero or Miguel Martinez.

If it's the place with the bird cages in front I believe the cross street is Flavio Romero.
