Windshield Sticker replacement
What do you do about the windshield sticker when you have to have your windshield replaced? Do we just carry the section of glass with the sticker on it until we cross the border or can it be taken off and re-applied to the newer windshield?

I had my windshield replaced in Guadalajara. The installers carefully peeled the TIP sticker up and then placed it on the new windshield. No problem, all good.

Same experience with windshield replacement in Guadalajara. Most installers know about the sticker but it wouldn't hurt to point it out.

I haveno idea how they did it for David's. Just trying to peel my sticker caused instant deterioration, which is how it's designed, so it can't be transferred illegally (mine is about five years old). I had mine cut out of the old windshield, and that piece of glass is velcroed to my new windshield.

Roto Glass did mine, my neighbor's, and other's by starting the peel with a single edge razor blade then gently peeing it off. I watched, nothing to it. Mine was 7 years old when they did it.

This is not a problem.
The yearly licensing sticker applied on Jalisco (Mexican) plated cars is the same and Glass shops regularly replace them.
