we're in a time warp!

I posted something earlier this afternoon, and the post says I posted at 9:47 p.m. tonight. Now the board says it is 11:33 p.m. (Play Twilight Zone music theme here.) Have we been taken over my aliens from another planet? I didn't hear a thing!

Try setting your correct time zone in your personal settings under UCP.

Thanks, Bob! It is 4:48 on my computer. Help me here, I am a bit dense, why does your site indicate a much later time? Please take me step by step on this, I am curious but ignorant. My personal computer seems to think I live in Tucson, AZ--but what do I know??? I always tell people I am in a satellite hovering over Denver, but it seems like this site thinks I am in the Bermuda Triangle!

You need to set your time zone in this forum software. That usually takes place when you sign up.

Click on the Quickjump menu in the upper right hand corner, when it drops down click on UCP, then click on the Preference tab and set your time zone to the proper one.

What is the proper one? I am now showing that it is 5:41 pm on Caracas. I have been choosing various locations for several minutes now, including Denver, and I am getting strange results. Like, it's actually something like 5:15--why is the site showing 5:41????

Inspired by CBob's advice, I just now tried fixing my own scrambled time settings. Took a couple of tries, but UTC-6 (Cancun, Mexico City, Monterrey) worked for me.

Yep, that's the one.
