Is this really a good idea? I mean, posting enough personal information about yourself (including a picture) that will allow for your identification. Two scenarios (I'm sure there are many more) come to mind. One, it's not unusual to get into a heated discussion that results in name calling and insults What if you go too far and end up getting your ass kicked in the real world Second, I believe it's against Mexican law for foreigners to publicly (like here) criticize the Mexican government There are some members of this board who do that regularly and who are well known in the area because they make a living here and advertise their services. Food for thought.

Anything you put out there, whether it's on Facebook, a private group site, or one of these public forums, might as well be posted on a billboard along the highway. The whole world has access to your information.

There is no such thing as privacy on the internet. Say nothing you wouldn't want broadcast to the world at large, there are already lots of horror stories out there. Lizzy

It would certainly make a person think twice before posting, if they knew the possible repercussions!

I've heard that accepting too large of a border promotion can cause paranoia.

If you don't post your avatars we will assume the worst. Like in personal ads, gals with only a face pic are decapitated remains of a crime or are fat, no pic is ugly, a guy's pic with a hat means he is bald.
