I had the crepes . Order was 2, filled with spinach, cheese and mushrooms. Enough for two. Good crepes. Good iced mocha. Good iced tea. Everybody else seemed to enjoy their food. Lots of take home containers, usually a good sign.

Had a bad experience there and didn't return, but when driving past, I notice many people dining outside. This is something I find puzzling. What's so good about sitting next to a busy, noisy, exhaust fume enhanced carreterra? This isn't on a peaceful, scenic plaza in Europe. What's the attraction?

I love their lasagna, and since I make a really good one, and am forced to admit that Pranzo's is as good as or possibly even slightly better than mine, it is damned good. Comes as veggie and also meat.
Mind you for really really good italian food you just can't beat Quattro Mori. The chef is a genius. Home made pasta, the whole enchilada. Last time I had an artichoke lasagne. YUM.

Re: Have you eaten at PRANZO Restaurant?
Ate there this past week with a group. Everybody seemed to enjoy the food and all 9 people were served at the same time, which I thought was impressive. I had a Caesar salad with shrimp, which was good. I had a Mocha there previously that I thought was pretty enough for a photo. Other food has been fine on previous trips. Only complaint was one time we ate there and sat too close to a trash can with an annoying number of insects around. Otherwise, only positives. It can be a little noisy with the road, but the lateral seems to provide enough buffer to make it tolerable, and a great place for vehicle watching.

I had their salad, with chicken and roast veggies and it was WONDERFUL. Husband and friend had the bagel sandwich that they very much liked. We ate inside on the patio. No complaints.

Southeast corner of the Carretera Poniente and Calle de las Flores in Ajijic....west end of Plaza La Huerta or just east of the Don Pedro restaurant.

Have gone about once a week or more for about a year. Love it. Pranzo Salad is great as is the shrimp burger. Many good dishes on the menu. Favorite place in town for lunch.
