TIO CORP
Spencer: What is your take on the TioCorp method of nationalizing cars? I hear you attended their seminar.

Re: TIO CORP
I didn´t go to their seminar. I am hesitant as I have seen great amounts of fraud and unsatisfied customers. Unfortunately all too common is someone who does a few well and then collects from many people and the temptation to spend the money is too great and the work doesn´t get done.
I have seen different variations and will personally take my truck to the border soon to nationalize it and try to avoid problems.

Re: TIO CORP
Borrowed from a post on MexConnect:
"We received the following reader comment today:
"Tiocorp has indicated that the amparo was apparently a scam by a Mr. Andres Gonzalez Hernandez of Gestoria Vehicular de Occident. Tiocorp has obtained an attorney and is filing a complaint for presentation to federal authorities, indicating that it was taken in by the scam, along with some other agencies that also had used Mr. Gonzalez and the “amparo” for importing vehicles. Mr. Gonzalez has not returned phone calls or emails from Tiocorp, nor delivered the pedimentos as promised. Tiocorp has offered to refund all monies not yet turned over to Mr. Gonzalez (those that applied since April 12). But for those whose money has already been deposited with Mr. Gonzalez, Tiocorp has offered to refund 50% of the deposit within the next 60 days from its cash flow and insurance business operations, and to refund the balance thru 25% discount on its auto insurance policies until the remainder is compensated. Tiocorp states, “the losses and embarrassment in this case are significant. Tiocorp is proud of its excellent reputation in our community and feels a tremendous shame allowing itself to become a sales agency for what may prove to be nothing more than a scam and professional sting operation. We sincerely apologize.”"

Re: TIO CORP
Due diligence? Now there is an interesting concept! Pretty obvious that Tio Corp saw this as an opportunity to supplement their income and the dollars/pesos clouded their judgement.

Re: TIO CORP
To add to the sympathy factor for the trauma LoonyCoons is going through, one should read his recent post on MexConnect:
http://www.mexconnect.com/cgi-bin/forums/gforum.cgi?post=189775;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread
The definition of sympathy can be found in the dictionary between "shit" and "syphilis"!

Whattsamatta with a clean clock?
TioCorp's program just happened to coincide with the needs of a whole bunch of people.
Reminds of the scam a few years ago where somebody was going to provide Medicare "coverage" for full time Mexico residents.
A suspicious mind is a terrible thing to waste.

It cost more to have your "clock cleaned" if you are a gringo, know-it-all, millionaire.

Re: TIO CORP
The twit is hoping that Aduana will change the law on foreign cars. Why? Permanent residents have NEVER been able to keep their foreign plated cars in Mexico. The law concerning foreign plated cars didn't change, the immigration laws changed. Get over it!
