1st meal at Brunos"s
Outstanding dinner. One suggestion, corn is soggy, frozen from Costco, probably. Substitute deep fried mushrooms.....just a thought.

Jim, I recently had my first meal there too. I agree about the corn.
On the other hand, the baked potato really was the best one I have had in Mexico. I could make a meal out of a couple of those. If you love baked potatoes, you owe it to yourself to have one at Bruno´s!

Jim:
Glad to hear that you stepped out to the "wildside" and are acting your age by dining at such an early hour! If you keep the same habits after you sell your home and move back to AZ, you will be on time for the "early dining senior discount dining hour".

An appetizer of great Sashimi or Sushi followed by a properly cooked quality steak with a baked potato is about as good as it gets! On the other hand, I have never turned down "Teppan style" Kobe Beef either. We stumbled on Bruno's on our very first trip to Lake Chapala - pre 2000.

That boiled corn has been a landmark at Bruno's since time immemorial.

Thank you for the information. It is very sweet (which I love), but I prefer corn a little less cooked. That being said, I did eat every kernel of mine and my friend´s (who can not eat corn for some reason)!

I eat it every time I go; 14 years or more now. Steamed, boiled... guess I'm not the best judge.Bruno's Restaurant wrote:It is actually steamed corn and it is not from Costco ;)
