. . .one of those thingys that you put a paper or book on to stand up while you type or read without having to hold it. Know what I mean??? I have no idea what they're called, maybe like a stenographer's stand??? People buy them to put the newspaper on to read while they eat. . .

I'm doing some data entry and I need it to put the paper on. Ideas?

Mine is a small folding metal thingy. Very handy. You could try the papelerias or maybe the "everything" store across from the Ajijic Plaza, on the same block as Bancomer.

I think technically the "thingy" is called a copyholder (http://www.staples.com/typing+stand/directory_typing+stand). I have seen wooden easels with a flat platform in Mexico that might suffice in a pinch. One of the local woodworkers could probably throw one together in short order for a very nominal price?

Recipe holder! Got one, a friend saw this post and is bringing one over that she is not using. yaaaay

Thanks, guys, the 'everything store' was a good bet. Probably Office Depot too.

Tony:

Two suggestions:
1) You can order a cover from Amazon and have it sent to Mexico.
2) Find a cover design that you like, print out a photo and take that to a leather shop to see if they can make one for you.

Not lately. Plus, they were made of some soft fabric which wouldn't be much protection unless you lined it with cardboard.

The only problem with the leather shop making them is would they be able to put in the little clips that hold the Kindle into the cover?

Looking for. . . Empty Kindle Cover

Post by Guest Fri Dec 21, 2012 11:01 am

Tony,

Go take a look at Wal Mart. They have covers for all sorts of electronics - Ipads, tablets, etc. I see them every time I walk into the store.
