I tracked all tolls this trip...... 21 toll stops from Nogales to GDL....Tolls 1529 pesos. One can fly, rent a car for a few days, far cheaper than bustin your butt on a 20 hour drive, plus meals and lodging, each way! We counted change this time....only twice were we shorted!

Punta a Punta gives a fairly close toll aprroximation to yours - $1436MXN. That would seem to indicate some may have recently been raised. They do indicate that you are not driving fast enough since they say 16hrs and 5min total driving time. Need to use that right foot a bit more forcefully!

Jim:

I wasn't disputing your toll total. If you read my post again, I indicated that there probably have been some recent increases? Sounds like you may be getting the hang of Mexico driving with your faster results. By the way, I was just kidding you!

JimW - Next time fly. You'll enjoy it better. Don't forget to add the per mile cost of running your car. Like 20 cents a mile????

This is precisely why we fly. I really hate that road up through Guaymas. Last time we went which was ohh maybe 9 years ago, it was a total mess.

Of course since our friend up there died, we have no further reason to go.
