Re: clutch adjustment on crv
What year is your CRV and is it a standard or automatic? The reason I ask is you mention fluid however standard transmissions aren't driven by fluid. If it is a standard transmission the clutch should be operated by a cable. At the end of the cable where it enters the transmission there is a threaded adjustment. It is usually a double nut on the threaded end of the cable. You loosen the top nut, unscrew the threaded end of the cable back out a few turns, then tighten the top nut up again. If you are unsure it may be best to take it by a local mechanic.

Take it to the shop between Tony's and SuperLake. The CRV clutch is hydraulic, not cable operated. If it needs fluid that means there's a leak somewhere.

Oh thanks for the correction David. Hydraulic clutches aren't adjustable. I assumed it may be similar to a lot of the other imports that have a cable operated clutch since the OP asked about adjusting it. Probably best to have someone take a look as suggested then.

Thanks for your help, in the meantime it died in front of Hernandez today. He was able to do a temp fix, and is looking for a new clutch. The car was delivered to me 12 years ago tomorrow and has over 203,000 miles on it, so I guess I can't complain. It has always given me good service. The big problem is getting parts for it, everything has to come from the states. Oh, he said he bled the lines and then added fluid.
