I read some of the threads...same stuff, same concerns, different year.
I wish Pedro was still able to post in the same manner as he did then. Sigh.
We talk about how violent the world has become...look what's happened to some of the forums. Kinda sad.

Damn few posts and info. And that was before you became sarcastic or maybe you just held back your sarcasm. Everyone knows your an expert on everything, all we have to do is ask you.

Good point. Mr. Pot and Mr. Kettle better keep their personal crap in the Octagon, or start planning some long vacations: http://www.atlastravelweb.com/Destinations/Antarctica-Tours.html

Snork, indeed! This was when Pedro still used upper case and punctuation.

For sure CG is very vocal. Look at the number of posts for someone who doesn't live here and occassionally visits Lakeside.

Interesting stuff, seems like some folks have changed their names a few times but their writing style remains the same.

I joined Steve's board early in 2008 when we were getting ready to move down. For some reason, my username had to be reset every few weeks, and I finally gave up and joined TOB. I miss Sally Ann. He/she? had a wonderful acerbic wit but was kicked off TOB in about 2009.

Re: For Those Forum Rats from January of 2007:
I have often wondered what happened with the mysterious SallyAnne. I remember bringing down something for her in 2008 and since we couldn't connect, arrangements were made for her to pick the item/items up from another party. When she arrived to pick up the items, she announced that she would not be providing her real name and never did!

Re: For Those Forum Rats from January of 2007:
I always thought SallyAnne may have been Carlos Nieto aka "Williebrandt".

I met Chuck before he even moved to Mexico and SallyAnne definitely wasn't him. Definitely a female!

Sally Ann (not her real name) was a hoot. She came to one of our parties and stayed after to drink/chat. Nice lady. I noticed a thread from SA on Steve's board about her lost dog, the close is a SA classic:
"PS: unlike the picture below, she does NOT have an arm growing out of her neck."

I loved the way her mind worked... wonderfully twisted sense of humor. Miss her rapier wit. L

Re: For Those Forum Rats from January of 2007:
Straight from the "No BS forum" and the fearless leader: "sallyanne is definitely female and we have been to her house. her real name does start with "s".
i also knew carlos before he died and it sure ain't him boobie."
Maybe he doesn't allow BS from the members but certainly plenty coming out of his mouth/one finger typing!
While I didn't mention who I left SallyAnne's goodies with, it was with peedro and Yvonne. SallyAnne showed up at their house with dog to pick up the items. She refused to give her real name. That was in 2008 and in 2009, peedro was still bitching about her drinking his booze anonymously! He is right that she was female but they had never been to her house nor did they know her real name.
As for Carlos real name Chuck Nieto aka a multitude of other names, I met Chuck in Albuquerque prior to his move and spent a good deal of time with him providing hints about the drive down. It is true that Chuck knew peedro but it didn't take him long to get a reading and distance himself from peedro!
And that folks is the "other side of the story"![b]
