Lawn Mower Wheel
Last time I visited with Prudence in Tizapan, she asked me if I could get a wheel for her lawn mower. One of the rear wheels wobbles.
I know there are many Mexicans who repair engines, but I don't know of "parts" suppliers. Can someone point me in the right direction?
I have to admit: I didn't have time to take a really good look at the wheel, and I didn't have any tools with me. It might be that all it needs is to be tightened, rather than replaced.
But I think it wouldn't hurt to have a couple of "go-to" places for parts.

Re: Lawn Mower Wheel
I'm starting to think that it isn't possible to buy lawn-mower wheels in this area!
I received a telephone call from a friend and (former) neighbor who had seen my post and sent me to the repair shop in Riberas. They couldn't sell me a wheel (or four) and didn't know of any place where I could buy any!
They offered to sell a used mower, though.

Re: Lawn Mower Wheel
There's a hardware store in Chapala on the street behind the plaza, 1 block down towards the lake. They looked like they had everything. I'm sure they would have a utility wheel that you could make work.
Oncesubtle probably knows the name of the street it is on as its right by his place.

Thanks, Bob!
I'll look around, the next time I'm in Chapala.
