Lake Chapala Society Website

The Lake Chapala Society website url is now; www.lakechapalasociety.com It was formerly ".org" but the registration expired and was hijacked.

The domain was renewed on time. The problem was that it was being held hostage for unknown reasons. Well unknown to me.

That is true actually. The owner of the old LCS site is: Qingqing Han That person did renew. They are just not allowing use of the domain name.

The owner of the NEW LCS site is: Lake Chapala Society, A.C. And that is how it should be if you want to own your own website.

My point exactly. It is whatever the person who originally set the domain up used for a name. I have seen this more than once in the last year. If you own your own domain then it needs to be in your name and you need log in information, a password, and your own email address on record so you can tell if something is going on behind your back. Not all web companies are up to no good but it does seem to happen a fair amount in Mexico.
