Re: SIMPLY THAI CHANGES
I met hound dog and his wife. Love to meet John from Los Arroyos and Bob. I am sure I saw or met many of you but sometime I can't put the name and the face together. Please introduce yourself the next time you guys are in. Since I am no longer at Thai 2 Go, I have been working 13 hrs everyday. If I am not at the restaurant, that means I step out to buy groceries.
Thanks again everyone for your support!

Re: SIMPLY THAI CHANGES
If I weer to choose a restaurant in which to dine in the Ajijic area, I would choose among (in no particular order):
Siimply Thai
Gossip´s Kitchen
Magaña
Bubba´s (Redneck Cuisine)
Tabarka
Yves (best martinis in Mexico)
Oxxo ( morning) hot dogs
Burger King and Krispy Kreme at GDL, Terminal One
More later after the memory pool regenarates.

Bubba´s (Redneck Cuisine)
Tabarka

OK, smart ass. You go in to any OXXO in the morning when all kinds of young construction dudes are feasting on OXXO hot dogs and you throw together the following:
One OXXO weiner or bacon-wrapped weiner according to taste
One OXXO steamed hotdog bun
A gererous serving on the resultant hotdog of mayonaise, mustarrd, chopped jalapeños chopped onions and chopped tomatoes.
One Ice cold Modelo Negra.
The essence of Mexico, redneck retard. (written in jest)
These, of course cannot compare with Casper´s Hotdogs in Oakland or Kris´s Hotdogs in Montgomery but then, we don´t have to live in Oakland or Montgomery to enjoy them. Life is filled with trade-offs.
Imagine living in Canada where Tim Horton´s is considered high cuisine and you freeze your balls off nine monhts out of the year.

Agree with the overpriced menu at No.4. We found the food mediocre, definitely not 'gourmet'.
However they do provide pleasant music, and it does have a pleasant atmosphere.

Re: SIMPLY THAI CHANGES
I go to Mexican restaurants serving Mexican food, aimed at Mexican customers. I can get lunch from 35 pesos to 48 pesos. These usually include meat or fish and rice with veggies. And a good variety. A good example is the place in Ajijic beside the seed/grains store, across from Clinica Ajijic. Three or four different offerings every day, from lomo to shrimp (two skewers yet).

A fine idea, HG. I also enjoy eating in Mexican restaurants hereabouts (Ajijic , San Cristóbal, The Yucatan, Oaxaca, etc,) but I also enjoy Algerian and Tunisian food in Paris and Korean food in Los Angeles and East Indian food in London so what´s your point?
It is a genuine pleasure to try various foods from various lands whereever you live. The more cosmopolitan the coimmunity the better.
"Mexican customers" like most parochial curtomers everywhere are not normally open to trying "exotic" foods. Their loss.
