Shame on you for posting tweets in Espanol. John has lived in Mexico for 11 years and has no intention of learning a single word of Spanish. It is his way of protesting because immigrants from Mexico don't bother to learn English to his standards NOB!

What the heck difference does that make? I have enough interest to use a translation program in an attempt to get the jist. And I spend a fair amount of time each week trying to correct my shortcomings when it comes to Espanol.

How did it translate?

CheenaGringo has been coming to Mexico for years, and like many of us is learning Spanish.

But I think most of us, certainly I, have a ways to go before we can speak it well.

I am nowhere close to the speaking stage other than the very basics. I figure that I am doing well to begin to understand written Spanish and I make no claims beyond that. For someone who could read, write and speak fluent Japanese as a youngster, I am ashamed to admit how hard it is for me to even begin to grasp Spanish!

Do y'all really give a shit whether John understands Spanish or not? I don't . For all of you who hate his guts and love to drive him to losing it on a forun where quite possibly he could be banned along with the provocateur, is it really worth it? My dog's and I are on the covered porch and dont rightly give a are damn..... Do you seriously care or do you just want John banned?

I don't think anybody wants John banned, he is far too entertaining. Timeouts are good both for him and for us.
It really doesn't matter to me whether he has learned Spanish or not...the fact that he doesn't know how to use bing or google to roughly translate does matter.

I've learnt a new Mexican phrase that John would probably be delighted to use the next time he's at a Pemex. "illano chucha". He'll make immediate Mexican friends. My esposa loves the expression. Whenever I get too mouthy, out it comes.
