Restaurants are Not Busy This Summer Season
The restaurants that we frequent are not busy. The following restaurants seem to do a good business: Bruno's, Tony's, Ajijic Tango and Panino. Hacienda Ajijic even with his 99 peso specials on Wednesday and Thursday is not as busy as usual and he has no business the rest of the week. Manix, El Jardin de Ninette, Ricki's Thai, Simply Thai, Tabarka and La Taverna are basically empty. Roberto's is sometimes busy, but not like before.
This is the least busy restaurant season that I have seen in my 11 years here. Yet there are MORE people living here than 11 years ago. For instance, these Communities were not built 11 years ago: Los Olivos, Los Arroyos Sur, Arroyo Alto, Los Sabinos, La Reserva, El Dorado and El Dorado Condo, therefore there were less permanent residents then, yet restaurants were busier. Why are they not busier?
So, get out to eat more often and support your local restaurants and start tipping these waiters well. God knows most all of you can afford it.
