If you see a CFE truck send them to Los Arroyos Sur.....jaja. No power in half the complex since last night. A few of us have called CFE!

Common occurrence this time of year, esp at the beginning of the rains. They'll get it back on soon, probably by noon. I've often thought the crews don't go to work until 10 and then are dispatched to the no-service areas. AND, it doesn't seem there is ever a weekend repair crew or an 'emergency' crew available at all.

Bienvenidos a Mexico.

We are keeping are fingers crossed...so far we haven't lost complete power in any of the three storms we've had. Last night, not even a flicker or suggestion that it was going off. YEAH!!!!

I have had the opposite experience on most occasions. Lost power on weekends or at night and a CFE crew repaired the problem. Of course if a transformer blows then you might wait for awhile. But ususally it is a line fuse and they replace those fairly quickly.

Last fall when Hurricane Jova hit the coast of Jalisco the CFE was well prepared and had extra emergency crews and equipment stationed in the area. Power was out for less than 24 hours in Barra de Navidad. Last month while in the States I had a converstaion with a friend that lives in the NYC area. During a blizzard last winter they were without power for over a week.

Yes I suspect it is a simple line fuse as we do have partial, weak voltage and the transformers look fine!

Check your fuses at your house also! I was waiting for the power to come back at LCS when we suddenly understood that we just had
one phase out. Sure enough we stood there not able to do anything cause of the computers when it was just an overloaded fuse that
had nothing to do with CFE. I know you have probably already done this but its a good lesson I would like others not to learn the hard
way like I did. Fuses were in seperate box than breakers rather than the big breaker in the top of the breaker box like NOB.

Did you miss the part where I said you probably already did this.
My neighbor had a fuse burned out also so we both assumed it was CFE.
It wasn't.

Occassionally even the best Premiere Gated Community might lose power like once a year. No different than in the US. I checked my main panel first. Wasn't that. I thought it was odd that the street lights were on all night. DUH on me! Then a friend went walking at 7:00 AM and the guard was watching TV. Half the houses had power.

We have two humoungus transformers outside our gate that service only our Community. One services the first 10 houses and the second one services houses 11 thru 19.

We were back online at 1:00 PM, one of our longest outages ever. There were many major outages throughout Ajijic.

Well Bob, you have had your wish about the fork lightning bolts going to the Lake. After that last one, our power went out.
