There isn't one. Guadalajara. It's a long word and hard to type. At least he didn't say "GDL". Think of the confusion that would cause.

According to Intercasa, the cost to convert from NOB plates to Mexico plates is upwards of $2000.00 USD. Spencer please confirm?
it all depends on the year of your car and who does it. We did it ourselves for 11,000 pesos

Nope...probably can't find one that says L.A., Philly, Frisco, or Vegas either.

Re: Photo Radar Ticket
Converting to Mexican plates, if you have an old vehicle like I have is NOT worth it. If you have to pay 1/4 to 1/2 of the value of the vehicle you can see my point.
And how can ANYONE justify these ridiculous amounts of money to convert plates? It's just another Mexican rip off of Gringos because they think we all have money which we do not.
You cannot get a photo radar ticket if you have foreign plates because the plates cannot be traced.

Aahhh, wine with a screw cap. Reminds me of back in the day when Strawberry Hill was 65 cents a bottle. Spent some 4th of July's with a case of SH, a box of fireworks, hamburgers, and blow stuff up until someone got hurt.GBATRUCKS wrote:John, just ignore him....Quit taking the bait! We grew up on Thunderbird & Ripple...Then we discovered that you could inject on orange with grain alcohol...Being under age, we thought this was great!

Hey don’t get too cynical did you know in California you can actually get some fairly decent wines for under $3 USD a bottle, Whoa, sure surprised me, good old “supply & demand” issue.

Oh yeah... Trader Joe's..their Charles Shaw brand...used to call it "2 Buck Chuck." One of their whites kicked butt at a big blind tasting in Napa years back...Freaked out the wine snobs.

John do you really think that any mexican with money or driving a nice car is a drug dealer?johninajijic wrote:
And where do they get the money, from selling drugs??? Oh, and they get charged $ 2 - $ 3 K US??? I don't think so. Remember two prices, the Mexican price and the Gringo price. Discrimination.
When I entered my VIN on the aduana website for the quote I'm pretty sure they could'nt see my gringo looks or hear my gringo accent. You really are clueless and with your attitude toward mexicans I can't for the life of me understand why you live in Mexico.

Maybe I'm missing something reading your post. I was referring to the $ 2 K to $ 3 K charges for registering a foreign vehicle. Where would a Mexican driving a piece of crap truck that he went to the US to buy get the money to register it as Mexican plated here? That registration could be 1/4 to 1/2 of the cost of the vehicle. And why would ANY Mexican buy a car from the US when there is an abundance of new and used car dealers here with lots of vehicles? I don't get your post.

Regarding cheap alcohol, they call it "blind tasting" for a reason.GBATRUCKS wrote:Oh yeah... Trader Joe's..their Charles Shaw brand...used to call it "2 Buck Chuck." One of their whites kicked butt at a big blind tasting in Napa years back...Freaked out the wine snobs.

Re: Photo Radar Ticket
John the name Solovino has nothing to do with alcohol as has been pointed out on previous posts, suggest you cut your asking price by a third and hightail it back to the US.

Re: Photo Radar Ticket
"Dogs come in all shapes and sizes in Mexico but two varieties that are not generally found in the states are the roof dog and the Solovino (solo, in Spanish means 'alone' while vino is 'came', so the name translates to 'he came alone'). Many times the saying goes, 'Solo vino y solo se fue,' (he came by himself and took off the same way) since many strays prefer life on the road. Needless to say, our Solovino did not share that same preference." http://www.mexicoinsmallbytes.com/april.html
...Just an aside. I still think anyone who uses the F word out of the Octagon should get the boot.

OK, the next members that attack or use profanity outside the Octagon are toast. The is the last and only warning. Solo, Chris, John.....be warned. You are bad for business and will be gone in 3 clicks.
Re: Photo Radar Ticket
Solovino has been banned and won't be back. If anyone wants to join him please let me know now so we can save some time. I'm thinking John and Chris will be next.
