Tons of police vehicles on Carretara

We were sitting at El Barco, and there were about 8 police vehicles, with lights on, going really fast down the carretara (sp?). Anybody have any info on what's up?

Have to admit I was slightly freaked out. And we have been many places and are not easily spooked, JFYI.

They dod not come as far as West Ajijic or we would have heard them. Maybe they had a gathering at Donas Donuts! LOL
