I just heard a rain bird, isn't it too early? He/she sang 3 times within 5 minutes then nothing. John did you hear it?

No, I didn't hear it. It is kind of early, that would bring rain about first week in June. It's possible considering we had Las Cabanuelas (sp) this year.

Just like clockwork, people start thinking that they are hearing rainbirds in March but they don't become reality until late May or early June when the rains typically start.

6 weeks after they're all singing is when the rains come. Typically that's the 2nd week in June. They will be raucous by the end of the month.
