Earth tremor
Did everyone just feel the earth tremor? 5:57 - desk chair moving on it's own, pots swaying on the pot rack and classes clinking.

So far all the way from Chapala to San Juan Cosala, interesting. Any more reports?

Re: Earth tremor
Sometime in the late 90's/early 2000's in Seattle our 6 story campus shook enough to break water pipes and windows. Came out of my office and students were saying "it's coming down".
As long a I lived in California I don't remember one. My grandmother lived thru the 1906+/- San Francisco
Yes we felt this one in Melaque

Given the demographics of the Gringos who have moved to Mexico, I would imagine that many have experienced earthquakes in various parts of the world. The fact is that this earthquake happened in Mexico and apparently experienced by many. What difference does it make when people claim greater experiences in CA, WA, or wherever? This is today's news and that is all that really matters! This "all about me prior experience" is getting more than a bit tiresome!

Yep, 8.1 and lasted over a minute, seemed like thirty. If you live through you have the right to feel any way you want, IMHO. (Glass half empty or half full and each gets to choose their own reaction) I’m assuming you understand the Richter scale. Today just didn’t feel like much.
We even lived through a volcano eruption that turned day into night and covered our house with 6 inches of ash, lived through two typhoons within five months and each time we were without power for five week and without water from two to three weeks. During one of these typhoons the storage for gasoline caught on fire so we not only had to endure acid rain in the little water we had we had to deal with living without fuel.
We moved to Mexico because of its benign climate.

A couple of hundred km away from what?
A large group of us were at Manix when it happened. I felt it in my chair. Most people didn't notice it. Hector came out of the kitchen and announced the earth tremor. It was nothing compared to the Colima tremor about 7 or 8 years ago which lasted much longer.

Easier to say Asia and not provide a date. That way others cannot check the veracity of the statement.
I doubt that anyone who has experienced the tragedy of a major earthquake would ever use the term COOL.

You must really think I’m not up to your level of “brilliance”, there is always another agenda with you two guys and I’m not biting. You either believe and enjoy the info or just move on. Now this is really a “Peedro” move.
