Break in La Cantcinta - look out for this car
La Cancinta Puerta Arroyo Subdivision, below Arroyo Alto and next to the Japanese Nursery.
Entry: The window on the street side was jimmied with a screwdriver and either broke the latch or it was not latched properly.
Value of Amt Stolen: $1500 US
Description: An older red Suburban with Missouri plates cruised the area then parked head out as for a quick getaway. The window was jimmied and the goods brought out the front door. A television, stereo and garden hose were stolen. A maid discovered the theft Friday afternoon. Another neighbor's window frame has a scratch and dent in the same location as if they had tried to jimmy it but failed. This is in a location surrounded by constant new construction, workers and vehicles. It is in a direct line of sight to a security guard booth.
And remember to report any crime you know about to Lakesidecrime.com.

It didn't say in the report if they were home - it was reported by a friend. All information is anonymous at Lakesidecrime.com.

Would that be at home in Cantcinta, Cancinta or the tiny settlement on Ocampo just west of Ajijic Village known locally as Canacinta? We who thought we lived in the West Ajijic Village just east of Canacinta (actually resident in Six Corners also known as the "beehive") in what local authorities incorrectly designate the Colonia Tio Domingo of Ajijic Delegación realize, after all these years, that we do not live in Ajijic Village according to John-in-Ajijic who also does not live in Ajijic and should rightly call himself "John-down-the -road-a-spell-above-the-carretera-to-Jocotepec-Delegación-San Juan Cosala" since we are attempting to be more accurately descriptive of exactly where we all are relative to where anyone reading this may be at the time of the reading.
Wherever one lives in these parts, I would advise locking one´s doors securely at all times whether at home or strolling about the village and, just for added comfort, owning a large slew of peritos grandes as does The Dawg.

You're asking for trouble Dawg, you mentioned towards Jocotepec, already identified by John as the low rent part of lakeside. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't want to be identified with us lowlifes who actually do reside in a known bad neighborhood within the municipality of Jocotepec.
