ATV's out at Hotel Perico
I saw on TOB a posting about trail riding on ATV's available out at Hotel Perico.
Hank & Bette started a little business renting ATV's and taking folks out into the hills for a nice little ride.
Since I had a buddy down visiting from Dallas, we decided to go give it a try yesterday and we had a ball.
I know it's not for everyone, but we had a really nice time and got to see some of the back country and some great views of the lake.
Here's a link to some of the pics https://plus.google.com/photos/109815088072841204982/albums/5717587638156846001?authkey=CKaciuqlw9qPEg
Hank & Bette do a real good job of making sure you stay on the path, and you're given a set of goggles and a bandana because it's a little dusty right now.
Most of the time you're on dirt roads and horse paths, so you're not blazing your own trails, but it is a real good time.
They've got several different trails they can take you out on, so you can do it more than once and get a different point of view.
Great place to take pics.
Lot of fun and I'd highly recommend it.

Sounds like fun. How long do you go out and how much does it cost. Have friends coming soon, might be a cool thing to do.

Can't beat the price, 200 pesos for about an hour ride. Well worth it.

Awesome. I am going as soon as possible. Do they offer any longer excursions.

An hour is good. Followed by cold brews and burgers at the Turtle.
Life is good. :)

Re: ATV's out at Hotel Perico
We have buddies coming who actually bought a house around the corner from us and will be here the week of the 24th. When the ladies go do lady stuff, I'm planning on grabbing my buddy and heading up there for a ride.
Not the same as riding my beloved motorcycles, but a great deal better than nothing!
But I do want to meet you while you're in town. Maybe we need to organize a "meet Canuck Bob" at my place.
What say y'all?

Give me a call when you decide to go out Bob. Thought you might be one who'd be interested.
I'm definitely going back.

Will do Juan.
Maines, I will be arranging a forum gathering in early April to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. We can get everyone together for that. Last year we met at the Beer Garden.

A few of us went out on the ATV's yesterday. There were a couple of mechanicals difficulties but otherwise it was a great ride. Juanrey has added some more pictures to his link here: https://plus.google.com/photos/109815088072841204982/albums/5717587638156846001?authkey=CKaciuqlw9qPEg
Here is a quick video I took to give you an idea of the trails:
