Rental Needed (Possibly)

I just retired last week a couple of months before I had planned to. I had to take the leap due to the possibility of losing my early retirement options and benefits if I hung around until the end of March. My wife is still working but she is anxious to get to Ajijic as am I. We have rented a casita from friends of ours starting the first of April but we are looking to see if there is anything we could find for just the month of March other than a B & B. If we are unable to find something we may have to put our belongings in storage and go spend a month using our timeshare weeks in Mazatlan or PV which wouldn't be a bad deal but, we are a little concerned about storage of our extra bags and a few household items that we are flying down with us. Any suggestions. Is the self storage facility in Ajijic safe? We would appreciate any helpful information that you can provide. Thank-you. Frank and Shannon.

Seltf storage, cannot speak from experience of using it, but I can tell you it has a guard at the gate 24/7.

Try the Hotel Perico. They have nice reasonable 1 and 2 bedroom apartments for rent by the day, week or month. We will be staying there the last two weeks of March as we are also arriving early. Our rental is not available until April 1 as well .

Thank-you everyone for the great ideas and information. We have decided to stick to our original schedule and fly down at the end of March. It was an intriguing idea to try and get down earlier but several circumstances have just made it better for us to hold tight and stick to our original schedule. Thanks again for you help.
