A Chance to say thanks! Take a small gift to the Police Dept on Thurs

On Friday, Dec 23, Chapala Police Department has it's annual Christmas Party. And they don't have enough money to purchase gifts for each of the 120 Officers - They do have some gifts, so they will have a raffle to determine who gets a gift. And they would appreciate any and all contributions for the raffle from the Mexican and Foreign community.

I think this might be a good time for us to show our appreciation - a small gesture - perhaps a 200 peso small appliance from Wal-Mart, will make this occasion more festive for them - and it is our chance to say "thanks" from the expat community. Just drop it off at the Police Station in Chapala by Thursday Evening.

And another thing they could use is a new or used DVD player . Why a DVD player? Another person has some english learning DVD's that they can donate - but the police station has a TV but no DVD player. If interested, let me know (email: info@lakesidecrime.com)- and we will put the two of you together so this can happen in a week or two.

I brought them the DVDs, one set to leave there but also will bring the #2 guy some as well so he can learn at home as he seems to man the front desk alot and attend to foreigners.
