We just added a gallery to our Community Website and need someone with a Digital Camera with a GPS (geotagging) to upload a picture or pictures so that we can get the Google Mapping tested and working. The new gallery is located at: http://www.lagunachapala.com/community/gallery The file upload size is presently set at 2.4 mb and you will need to be a registered member to upload. Any feelings on what might be a more suitable file size limit would also be appreciated. And of course even if you don't have a GPS camera any photos you might want to upload and share would be welcome content for the site.

Hopefully someone will have a GPS enabled camera to help us out on this.

If you upload photos to Picasa, then you can geo-tag any photo using Google Earth.

That's a good idea. I don't have a Picasa account but it wouldn't take long to set one up I'm sure.

I've got the same situation with my new Blackberry Storm 2. I'll have to do a bit of research.

The previous suggestion of using Picasa worked out well. In addition to being able to add a GPS location to the picture I could do a batch export with resizing as an option. It put all of the pics in one folder all at the size I wanted.

Camera with GPS help needed Iphone12

That foto upload is a pain in the ass. The window won't close

Anyway ... the GPS from my Iphone is pretty close. Only about a mile off from where I really am in Melaque

I uploaded it here to get the embedded data

That's an interesting site. I can see a need to spend a bit of time looking around on it. I found the setting on my Blackberry for geotagging information in the pictures taken. Will be doing some testing later with it.
