Blackeye

Last March I took the bus for the first time to the US from here. It was in the wee hours of morning when we crossed the border, with no formal stop at immigration. With that said, my FM2 was not stamped. I did not even think about it until I drove back into Mexico and stopped at immigration.

Has anyone else done this?

If I renew my FM2 next year, what will I need to do to resolve this issue?

thanks much....

Well.... the FM2 (inmigrante) won't exist next year, it will automatically convert to "Residente temporal" which, along with the "Residente permanente" have no time restrictions so, unless the pending regulations and manual add time restrictions, you shouldn't have a problem.

Very good.... the guy at the border, in English, told me I was going to have to pay a big fine, blah, blah blah. I wasn't too worried, but I did not want to pay for transgression.

Thanks,
Filoli
