Setting up electric service
I don't speak much Spanish. I will be needing to set up up electrical service soon. What all do I need to expect? Are there deposits/fees like in the states? Will I have electricity by Christmas? I've read a bunch of crap, but I figure someone here has done it before. I don't even know where to go.

Re: Setting up electric service
have not done this, as my house belongs to my grandfather. lloyds pays the bill every 2 months. they deduct from my account. go into lloyds, see aurora michel. no one else. ask her what to do, maybe they set it up for you. if not, you will get the correct information. then you can put like 2000 or 3000 pesos in an acct, & they take care of the rest. it shows on your statement. they have never screwed up. for a while i tried to pay the bill myself, but it was a nightmare, so back to lloyds. its a service for the clients.
