The going rate is 7%....However we the seller must pay 16% IVA, on their income.....which means we pay their tax....on a 300,000.00 sale....commission is 210,000 pesos...and we pay their income tax.....48,000 pesos. From my prospective, this is unjustified, and when my contract is up for renewal....all will change. Also I would recommend...when selling home furnished....get appraisal of furnishings...why pay commission, IVA, on furnishing
