Report on direct flight Flair Airline Guadalajara to Toronto
Everything I've ever wanted in 28 years of waiting. It turned a 12 hour travel trip into 5 hours which makes me very happy. There is no first class or business class but there is a lot of leg room which I appreciated. Seats are not spectacularly comfortable and I would suggest a pillow or some kind of neck support. Nuthin's free these days and you can only pay for food or beverages with a credit card...no cash. Don't order the individual, very mediocre pizza. If you do not print out your boarding pass, you will be charged another $25.00 Canadian for standing in their check in line. I was disappointed to find that their "drop off luggage line" did not exist at either end of this trip. You are standing in line with all the other people who did not print out their boarding passes which was a tedious waste of time. You do get nickel and dimed for 1) checked baggage 2) advance seat choice and 3) priority boarding. Even with those added, it was still the cheapest and fastest travel to Toronto and back that I've experienced while living full time in Mexico. I will definitely choose them again. There is also a direct flight Guadalajara to Vancouver for those interested.

For reasons unknown, Flair is not offering Gdl to Vancouver flights after April 21.

my wife and I are taking the Vancouver to Guad flight on Oct 30. WE have used Flair before. We do find their website difficult to navigate especially if we each choose different luggage options.

Some Airlines only let you book so many months in advance. I just checked with Flair and you can't book anything after April 21 so that is their limit.

Good to know. Thanks for that. Need to be in Vancouver early May. I’ll keep watching. As an aside, a friend was booking from Toronto to GDL for an October flight with her little dog and Flair said they don’t take pets on flights into Mexico. No explanation. Hmmmm

Interesting because there was a service dog on my Flair flight from Toronto to GDL last Monday.

Service dogs would be an exception. As a policy, I don't believe Flair transport pets.

Another happy Flair customer.
What a relief to take a 4 1/2 hour direct flight to Toronto instead of spending a long day in transit. All at a reasonable cost.
The "flight director" onboard was a real character. Remined me of WestJet.

Ah yes, there was one small service dog on our return flight. Musta had a good bladder.

Don't forget to say hello to Mary, the "flight director". We made the mistake of paying for extra legroom on the front bullhead seat - 1A, 1B. Mary was in command at the front of the aircraft and relentless.
Actually she was entertaining. We guessed Nova Scotia but she was actually from Saskatchewan
