I have a ruptured ligament in my foot and would like a different opinion from another
orthopaedic doctor
I have seen Doctor Maya in Ajijic.
Are there others in the area from San Juan Cosala to Chapala that I could check out?
Thanks for any suggests

I am very pleased with Dr. Jorge Alvaro Gonzalez Urzua at Hospital San Antonio.

He replaced my hip 18 months ago and before that he operated on both my hands for Dupuytren's Contracture. He also got me through a bad case of plantar fasciitis.

Wow! That's quite a wide range of operations for a surgeon. Dupuytren's is fine, micro surgery when done right.... vs a hip surgery which is kinda the other end of the spectrum! Good recommendation.

Doesn't seem to be as many ultra-specialists in MX medicine. In US orthos have many sub-specialties within practices. One does feet; one does hips; another only does knees.

It is/was hard to find orthos specializing in hands in the US even in decent sized Metro areas such as Tampa and Tucson.
