Lost License
My wife lost her driver's license. Has anyone gone through this recently and know the procedure for getting a replacement?

Re: Lost License
Since no one chimed in, I'll give my 2 cents..
When I lost my vehicle registration laminate card, I went to the 'Public Registry' office, aka RPPC Chapala, C. Degollado 308A for replacement. Because it is an official Jalisco issuance, they required me to file a denuncia for their files, prior to giving me a new card. This is done @ Fiscalía Regional V distrito Chapala (around the corner 2 blocks away, Gonzalez Gallo 17A, across from Christiana Park). The Denunica is needed to document the loss. if card altered/used, it then becomes theft of an official issuance. RPPC officer said people did this, but the number still traces back to me. So denuncia provides the authorities proof of such a defacto crime.
I would think a lost driver's license could have the same denuncia requirement: 1) specifically numbered official Jalisco issuance, 2) valuable if altered. Anyway, the Degollado office is definitely the place to start. With the right paperwork, issuance of the replacement will have to be @ Módulo de Licencias Chapala due to photos, thumbprints. Hopefully a photocopy of her original DL will smooth the way. A friend just got a DL renewal without drama. Jalisco info systems probably have an online image capture as well.

Re: Lost License
I don’t know if this would work but I have a B&W copy of my license and if you have a copy to take to the DMV place or where you pay for your drivers license renewal paying for a replacement may be all that’s needed. Again I don’t know if this would expedite getting a replacement license or not??

Re: Lost License
I had my DL taken by the police in the border area....since the Mexican states do not "talk" to each other...I just reported it missing....Chapala looked up my license...
charged a small fee and I walked out with my new license
