Looking for an honest and competent auto air conditioning mechanic

It's an old ('93) and well-loved Ford Explorer. Blows nothing but hot air. Been to 3 mechanics (?) who want to replace the clutch, the clutch and the compressor, or replace the whole system (!). The clutch engages. The compressor turns. But the freon leaks out. Probably nothing more than a leak. Any recommendation from experience would be much appreciated.

I've had good luck dealing with Roberto at Hernandez - beside Tony's in San Antonio Tlay. He brings in an A/C specialist from Guadalajara and has serviced my (even older) 1987 Olds.

Pogo, if you go with this mechanic, please post back here with your experience. I'm having the same AC issue and am looking for an AC guy.

Escalera does have an air conditioning person come in from Guadalajara on certain days. However, when my air conditioning was not up to par in my old vehicle, Carlos took out the filter on it...totally clogged and then replaced it for no charge while I waited. I did give him a generous tip.
