La Casa del Tequila in Guadalajara

"La Casa del Tequila is located at 336 Independence Street, Colony Centre, Guadalajara, to the side of the Rotunda of Illustrious Jalisco."

Apparently just opened this week. For those who don't have the time or inclination to drive to Tequila, this may be an interesting alternative for out of town visitors?

Has anyone visited La Casa del Tequila? I have it on our tentative list for our February visit.

Downtown traffic? For me, it would be more pleasant to drive to Tequila.

Your comments are accepted but we are staying in Tlaquepaque and it is an easy taxi ride to centro. We have plotted a couple of "tequila boutiques" and a visit to a distillery or two in "the Highlands" when driving to Patzcuaro. If we should visit this fairly new attraction, I will post a report and hopefully some photos.

According to the tourist info booths and a number of other people I questioned, this place no longer exists. Some stated that it was opened for the Pan American Games and closed shortly thereafter from lack of interest.
