ISO Really Tall Schefflera Plants

So many nurseries, so much traffic....can anyone save us unnecessary driving-- seen any good sized ones recently?

We don't want them for potted plants but for screening.  We were amazed at how fast and how tall our formerly potted ones grew once we removed them from pots!  Love when they sprout their red-headed tops.

I'm sorry I don't have the name, but there's place that specializes in trees west of Ajijic but before SJC on the lake side. We got a nice Granada there.

We have one that we had in a pot, sickly thing that was just surviving in our living room in VA. We brought it to FL, trimmed, repotted and fertilized it. Three years later, it is touching the roof of our nine foot ceiling lanai. It loves Florida.

Bisbee, did you ever find these plants? The business behind me built a tall 2nd story blocking my view of the hills and it looks terrible. Thought this might work since I had to have my palms removed because of that beetle.

Haven't ventured out yet.  

Chapala Tree Service is due here tomorrow to treat our palms against that beetle (sorry for your loss).  We asked on phone if they could locate large schlefferas so will see what they say tomorrow.  They were the company that transplanted ours from pots to the yard.

PS We have had palms treated every 90 days since 2017, so far so good.  They treat two 25' palms by putting the insecticide inside the frond growth at top of palm.  For the really tall Royal Palm they sprinkle at the base.  We have no pets at this time.

Sure wish I had known about that. I lost 3 large palms to that beetle.
