Solovino You OK?
I've seen pictures on TOB of the damage done by Jova. Please check in and let us know that you're OK if you can.

Re: Solovino You OK?
Just got internet back. We made it through the storm OK but a lot of people were less fortunate. A very sad situation for many people on the coast. In Barra de Navidad where we're at, it will be next to impossible to repair the damage before the winter tourist season. The near term future is bleak.
Right now the Costalegre is more like the Costatriste.

Wow sorry to hear about such extensive damage and loss. Glad to hear that you and your family are ok Solo.
Re: Solovino You OK?
I'm relieved to hear from you.
I know the situation is bleak right now but I will never underestimate the grit and determination of the Mexican people.
When Kenna made a mess of Vallarta on Oct. 24, 2002, the Malecon was rebuilt and functioning within a month. Last year, when the floods devastated Sayulita, the community came together and pitched in to clean debris, clean the mud out of houses and help those who had lost everything.
Think positively!

Re: Solovino You OK?
Ya llegò por quien lloraban!!!
Came back to Guadalajara yesterday. The much drier climate feels fantastic. Been looking at tons of mud for nearly 2 weeks. Cihuatlan got hit very hard by heavy flooding. A lot of people lost most of their belongings and the area's agriculture took a big hit. Besides the loss of crops, many heads of livestock were swept away.
My hands are still numb from holding the spray wand for hours of power washing.
