EV in mexico
Are electric vehicles being sold in Mexico?
What’s available?
Are prices comparable?
What about charging stations!
Sorry about so many questions but I have seen zero discussion on this subject here or OTB.

Neighbor down the street has two Teslas in his carport. Charging infrastructure still limited so he has a charge point in his carport.

Re: EV in mexico
They are being sold in Mexico but, unless you're in a big city (and even then) there are not many charging stations.
It will be a while before they become truly available. As such, a hybrid style vehicle, is probably a better compromise.
The flip side of this is that there are very few vehicles of any kind (new or used) to purchase. I've been waiting since last fall for a 2021 Fiat Mobi Trekking that uses gas. Chip shortage worldwide on new vehicles which has resulted in very few used vehicles being available.

imho, in this land of nearly perpetual sunshine and with those having solar panels, this company should open up a Mexican outlet...

Short and sweet? Electric vehicles are EXPENSIVE to purchase and not easy to charge unless you're in a fairly large city.
Sometimes what you want to do doesn't mesh with the reality of the infrastructure.

At present, the only charging station close to Lakeside is in Tlajomulco. I imagine this area isn't likely to get a charging station anytime in the next few years. I also haven't heard how expensive the charge is and how long it takes to charge.

Here is the home charging device that is available on Amazon Mexico...
https://www.amazon.com.mx/ChargePoint-Home-Electric-Vehicle-Charger/dp/B07WNXTHNW?th=1
Then you'd have to pay for it to be installed properly. You could ask GoSolar on TOB if he does this.
But, YIKES, maybe 30,000 pesos all in??? I put 500 pesos worth of gas in my car every six weeks. 4,500 pesos a year. The ROI doesn't make sense to me and I'm a tree hugger.
