Adelita's Delivery

First the bad news: they have discontinued the daily special discounts for deliveries.  

The good news is their food remains the same high quality at reasonable prices.

Got the full rack of ribs last night, comes with cole slaw and fries.  

We get 3 or 4 meals for both of us from a full rack, including pulled pork sandwiches.  

349p pre-tip is more than fair for the amount of food.  

Beside their ribs we've been very pleased with other items: pork tenderloin, eggplant parm, Argentinian sausage, and (surprisingly) their pizza!

I ordered online BUT I was not offered an option for delivery today. So, It will be delivered tomorrow at 6:30 pm.
Has this been your experience BisbeeGal? Or, if you phone, can you get same day delivery?
Planning 24 hours + in advance really doesn't work for me. I usually get caught up in a project and just need food... NOW.

We usually phone their landline 2 hours ahead of when we want it and ask for a specific delivery time, mas o menos.  Once we called closer to when we wanted it and it was a 45 minute wait.

Maybe you can cancel pending deliver for tomorrow and call them this afternoon around 4 for your 6:30 delivery time??

Based on what we see in his moto meal carrier, he delivers a slew of items around 6 to Ajijic Centro. Of course have no idea how many delivery guys there are; ours here has always been the same young man.

Mystery is solved. Wednesday is the delivery guy's day off. So DON'T order anything for delivery on a Wednesday.
Food is great as always but it was supposed to arrive between 6:30 and 6:45... it showed up at 5:50. Good thing my wireless doorbells were charging on their loungers.

Is Adelita's still doing the all you can eat ribs on Tuesdays?

Another great and timely rib rack delivery! Guy was 5 minutes early....kudos!

I called last week Tuesday, they told me no longer discount and they no longer deliver ribs, So I got ribs from Brunos, superb, better than Adelitas and they brought them the two blocks to my Casa...

I saw a picture of Bruno’s ribs on Facebook which made me want to order them immediately. Best looking I’ve seen around here.

Well, Adelitas most certainly delivers their ribs! We are in Ajijic Centro and they arrived exactly on time last night.

Tried Brunos ribs once, they were unfortunately dry.

I am wondering why the girl told me Adelitas was not delivering ribs, she must have had a bad day...

You probably got the poor communicator that I got when I asked about orders on Wednesday's on a Wednesday. And we were speaking Spanish.

fyi, Adelita's delivery takes US credit cards. Always used cash in the past, but last night we asked the scooter delivery guy and he processed the cc in our driveway.

Adelita delivers using their own driver, every day but Wednesday AFAIK.

I don't understand why people rave about Adelita's ribs. I tried them once and never again. Adelita's has other selections I enjoy but not the ribs. I can only surmise people have never enjoyed truly great ribs. To have good ribs they must be grilled over 12 hours with a heat of around 250f degrees . They must be basted twice with an excellent secret bast. I have not found any good ribs lakeside.

I agree you won't find Memphis-style ribs here.  We've tried the grilled ones and while they look good, have all been dry and tough.  

For us the appeal of Adelita's ribs is that they are fall-off-the-bone tender.  

We eat a few ribs the night they arrive; then remove the meat and use the rest for a few meals of "pulled pork" sliders to which I add my own spicy bbq sauce.  And top with cole slaw, Virginia style.

I like Adelitas ribs, but Brunos are very good too, Brunos remodel makes it a great dining experience no more smoke filling the place when it is windy..
