Internet down? Again...

No internet in Lower Chula Vista. Anyone else? Went out this afternoon. Still out at 11:30 pm.

Telmex, Total play, Izzy, Ilox. ??

Constantly out of service.

TELMEX INTERNET down again this morning.

Telmex Internet is also down this Sunday morning in upper Ajijic, at the top of Juarez. I'm using a hot spot on my old iPhone to provide me internet at the moment.

My TelMex internet was down at 6 am yesterday and stayed down until recently. GRRRR

The outage spread from Villa Nova to Chula Vista, at least. At one point, a friend was told it would be working by Wednesday. She got the usual runaround when calling tech support, but made it clear that she knows many who have switched to TotalPlay. I am one of those: I cancelled my Internet contract and have only the landline now. I use iLOx and TotalPlay.

My Telmex Infinitum internet came back on in upper Ajijic, early this afternoon. I sure hope there will be no outages for a while

Earlier this month, my internet and phone both went down for 17 days. At first I called Mexico City and got the standard “3-5 days” and it will be fixed. Started going in to the Telmex office (she has memorized my phone number.)

Desperately, after getting sick of going to Black Coffee, I got a Twitter account and tweeted Carlos Slim. Got an almost immediate response on Twitter via DM & got service back after a few days. A week or so later the internet went down for a week but the phone stayed on. Tweeted again and it got fixed. From now on, I may skip the middle men and report any outages right away to good old Carlos.

I doubt the big shots are even aware how pitiful our office is because before Telmex here had no competition. Now they do and I have been urging folks on Facebook to do what I did.

I had been using IZZI, the cable company as an internet backup. However the internet portion of the IZZI cable TV package had  down several months go. I dropped by the IZZI office this morning reporting my internet outage, and was told the IZZI tecks would report to the site within the next day or so and went on to the bank to get my weekly cash requirements. i by the time I made it home, there from IZZI were two technicians to fix my internet problems.

They replaced my IZZI modem and for the first time in several months, i had an internet connection working from IZZI. There internet was/ is not terribly, fast but 10.5 mb/sec down by 1.5 up is a great back up to my faster Telmex system that has been going out way to often these days.

Oh, when working, Telmex Infinitum has been providing me the following speeds.
download speeds have usually been around 42 to 45 mbps while my upload speeds are usually right around  10.3 mbps.

I might add that unless you understand Spanish, which I kind of sot of do, The IZZI TV packages are almost always in Spanish.
