B.C on fire
Nothing to do with Lakeside, but anyone paying attention to what's going on in Lytton, B.C., Canada? 121 degrees farenheit- hottest temp ever recorded on earth above 50 latitude N. Now the place is on fire- the photos of the fire cloud are unreal.

It's been terrible along the west coast. Down south in Oregon some 45 persons died from the heat. In Seattle the temperature hit the highest ever temperatures for three days hitting 111F. Well at least the very high temperatures are heading east, leaving the west coast somewhat cool

Fairbanks to hit 90 today and tomorrow, not unheard of up here but we wilt pretty quick at those temps. Not sure whats worse, 90 above or 40 below. Couple local fires rolling smoke into town today making for a lovely experience all around.

Yeah, I just came back from BC yesterday.
Rained hard on the coast, but just for half a day. And supposedly another major heat wave coming. So while the rain was welcome up there, it wasn't enough to stop the fire threats.
